Question, I just bought a Hobie 18. Boat is in good shape, but I noticed the mast ball assembly is not fully flush with the aluminum cross beam. The rivets are intact. When the mast is up there is some play in the ball assembly. It rocks a bit fore and aft (just a bit). Any thoughts on whether this needs to be repaired?

This should definitely be repaired.
