Needs to be reinforced inside the hull for sure... reinforcement plates are no longer available.

Any other important parts we need to start hoarding, Matt?

+1

Thankfully I got a set for my boat a few years ago, guess I'll have to make sure to take them with me if I ever sell it and get another. They didn't seem hard to come by at the time, I didn't expect to hear they're out of stock now.

Dealers may have them in stock, but once they're gone, they're gone.

Murray's still has them on their site: https://www.murrays.com/product/50-64130001/

If Hobie was so kind as to provide a drawing, or if somebody had one that wasn’t installed...seems like most decent machine shops should be able to duplicate those without too much trouble?

Yes any sheet metal shop that specializes in stainless should be able to make these. Laser cut the shape and form on a brake press. Requires a flat blank drawing and a form drawing. The flat drawing can be derived from a form drawing. Just don't expect the highly chromed finish.

Still Looking? Matt nailed it down although they are still avail from Murrays. Look inside the port holes to see
if they reinforced the hull decks where they meet the bottoms... see threads about the Red Line hulls and check for
mushy deck spots!!! Where there is smoke, there are problems.

If you're not prepared to do some fiberglass/carbon fiber work on the hull interiors to strengthen them ( or pay someone else- chachingggg $$$), don't take the risk. :o

I invested around $90 and 20 hours to strengthen my Red Lines with carbon fiber cloth.
cheers

I placed an order with Murrays on Nov 1st, just after reading this post. Three weeks later, I called them to ask about the order status.

Turns out Murrays also ran out of stock, however, they are apparently getting a batch of 100 custom made, ETA sometime in January.

Cheers!
