Jammed rudder/cam pins

My rudders won't stay locked due to the cam being jammed. So I tried unscrewing the cam pins but both are so jammed and stripped that it's impossible to get them off normally. Same deal with the rudder pins. I removed the cotter pin but the thing won't budge.

What are my options here? Should I try drilling out the cam pin? And maybe sawing the rudder pin and half and drilling it out as well? I'm afraid of damaging the casting but not sure what else I could do.

Are you able to loosen the cam tension screw (the large plastic screw in the under-side of the casting)?

For the rudder pin, I just went through the same thing on a Hobie 14. I ended up cutting the pin (stainless steel) with a hack saw and removing the gudgeons to get the casting off the boat. Then driving the pin out of the casting after it was taken off. Bottom line, it can probably be removed, but might be a little bit of work.

The Brand is rather obscure, but "Mouse Milk" is made to penetrate in aluminum. Mostly seen in the aircraft industry, it works real well when mixed with some "Kroil". With boating, we know too well that aluminum corrodes. a good penetrating oil is where i start.

If the cam is stuck to the lock position, you can use a blade screw driver to wiggle in between the cam and plunger and depress the plunger to rotate the cams open. Then lubricate the plunger and cam surfaces to run smoothly
