Hey,
I´m almost done restoring a Hobie 18, I found some wings in Stockholm, live in Denmark, and had them shipped to my country. Ofcourse there wasn't any mounting kit and none available so we made our own.

I have fitted 4 reinforcement plates on the beams, should hold now :)

But, I the trampoline don´t fit any more and I have to do some cutting in it and maybe sewing also? Do any of you have experience cutting the trampoline? IS it necessary to reinforce with sewing? Its a mesh by the way.

All the best

Chris

Yes, you will need to cut a small amount off of the corner of the tramp to get it to fit (should only be about 1” or so). For the OEM Hobie tramps, you can just use a sharp utility knife and a straight edge to cut off the corner. Since the OEM tramps are heat welded, they won’t unravel. If it is an aftermarket, sewn tramp, then you might need to stitch it after cutting to prevent unravelling.
