1978 H18 and it is hard to get the daggers to come up without knocking them forward first and then wiggling back and forth to get them up. I have been on other 18's that they just glide up easily.

Any suggestions?

Try using silicone spray (use the stuff you find in the electrical section at Home Depot - it's a lot cheaper than marine silicone and just as good)

Spray it all over the boards and wipe them down. Give the top and bottom of the trunk a good shot, too.

Works fabulously well on my Tiger
