Is the drivewell the same as the rest of the Mirage drive lineup? Would my TI mirage drives fit in the eclipse drive well?

Heck I want to know if the Hobie Torquedo electric motor will fit!

Based on the design the standard mirage drive would not work, this new drive is like elliptical pedals. But the Torquedo idea is brilliant, and should work.

The standard drive will work in the hull. All you need is a seat.

My Torquedo isn't the "I" series but I've gotten it to work in every Hobie boat that takes a Mirage Drive First model Sport. older Oasis you name it.

Will a non-I series motor also fit - even if say the prop guide works to align the prop but not remove drive with guide in place - I have that on an old Oasis which keeps me from using the prop guide bar completely.

Our Jax dealer is supposed to have a demo in May.

I can see me trying to stick Fl registration #s on a SUP - Ha!

Any likelihood of an electric powered mirage drive in the future? Do away with those nasty propellers altogether.

The i-series evolve has a longer foil which allows you to angle the prop head to get through the well. Without that longer foil... the prop head is too fat.

Always looking at ways to power the drive directly. Nothing yet. Part has to do with leverage and the power of the motor... you could get pinched.

Is Hobie considering offering the Eclipse hull with the standard Mirage drive & CT seat? This might be a great option for kayakfishing similar to the i11s but with a solid non-inflatable hull. Although I guess this might put the seat too far back from center to keep the bow down in the water?

I'm considering getting the i11s but would be interested in other lightweight options. Thanks.

This product seems SO SO cool!!!

I live at Lake of the Pines in Auburn, ca. We have a huge SUP group that uses the lake. I would love to get one of these on our lake for folks to Demo.
I have a feeling a number would want to purchase.

So, how fast can one "run" with this? Would be great to be able to use for some run training.

So, for the folks who have tried, what do you think? How stable compared to a wide SUP board?
Thoughts on the short vs longer board, which is wider.

Anyone own or order yet?
