One issue with the Eclipse is you cannot stop or go backwards.

So, it would be neat to be able to have some type of clips on the handlebars that we could attach a paddle to in case needed.
Any ideas?

H-Rail accessories attach well to the handle bars. You could clamp a paddle holder there and rest the blade on the deck.

Ideally looking for a clamp that can connect to the vertical bar going up, not the handle bars.

Did you check out -- UNIVERSAL MOUNT / CAGE
This awesome adapter allows you to mount a water
bottle cage or small device to the handlebar tubing.
Quick attacment and removal. Adjustable for upper
or lower tube size.
72020503
UNIVERSAL MOUNT -- it goes on the vertical stem; I'm sure you could 'rig' something to hold a paddle.

Hi RogWild,

I'm interested to see what you did but I can't see your image. Any chance you could re-submit? Thanks.

Here is a picture of what I did. Pool Noodle to protect deck, and velcro to hold paddle shaft to handlebar column.Image

Here's a 'side view', only need one velcro strap to hold it; easy to get it out. Image Bungee through the 'pool noodle' to keep it in place. Small 'loop' at end of velcro strap, to make end easy to find.
