I have been avidly watching this forum for a while and would love an eclipse. I've read about some of the damage noted by eclipse owners. What is your opinion of the dura? Does it solve some of the problems experienced by eclipse owners?

Yes. The board is covered by durable materials. You can still scuff the EVA foam or plastic bottom, but it's much more forgiving. Would be like in the surf industry... a fiberglass board needs to be handled carefully... a "foamy" you can kinda toss around. BUT... the glass boards are much nicer looking.
