Congrats Matt!

Seems like yesterday, (actually it was years ago) you provided myself with a wealth of information on how to properly rig my new to me H18. I as well wish you many years of relaxing and enjoying the next serious of adventures!

Good luck and thank you for everything.

Matt, you are gone, but maybe still reading the forum out of habit. I echo everyone else, you are a gentleman and a scholar! The whole Hobie community was better because you were a part of it.

If ever you want to travel to Michigan, I am sure we will treat you well with free drinks, etc. You have helped me immensely over the years and wish I could have thanked you in person.

The Cat Racing Association of Michigan has a solid Hobie 16 class and much of that started with a fleet of very old boats a few years ago and is transforming into a strong racing group with newer boats.

You deserve the great retirement, but hopefully your time at Hobie was as wonderful as all of us imagine it to be!!

Good wind and calm seas...

A wealth of knowledge and patient Hobie service to customers is well recognized on this forum.

If you ever find yourself in Pennsylvania.... shoot me a note and we will go for a sail on my TI ;-)

Thanks all for the kind words! I am currently enjoying some time off and doing a bit of consulting for SLS /. Starting Line Sailing (new boat builders for Hobie Cats). ZIM in Rhode Island will be the actual builder.

We may split off the sailing forums and support via SLS . Meeting with them on that this week.

For current forum support it is Diana Caballero (dcaballero) who is handling warranty and tech support.

I'm a month late to the party, it seems. Matt, thank you for all you do and have done! You have been our "insider" at Hobie for years now, patiently answering questions and providing information in a quick, responsive, personalized manner - something that cannot be done by calling 1-800 customer service.

You are going to be very missed, and I hope Hobie continues to support Ms. Caballero in the same manner they have been supportive (I assume by your presence) of you here.

You have hard-earned a well deserved retirement, I hope you enjoy it thoroughly!
