Just recently sold my 2009 Hobie Sport & upgraded to the Compass. Just got it yesterday and I know the seat sits on the post but is there a lower position where your put the seat pegs behind the built in post? My seat doesn’t seem to want to fit in very well. Wondering if I’m doing something wrong or if there is not a low position? Can’t wait to get it out on the water this weekend.

There is only one position for the seat base and that's sitting on those raised posts. A few folks have modified the seat base (i.e. shaved it to fit), but not something I would ever recommend. Seat works just fine where the factory height is. A Pro Angler sits a lot higher. Compass is very easy to paddle where the seat height is.

I have been in the compass for about 6 hours in the past week. I think the seat is pretty decent. The only issue I noticed was which I tried to set up more erect, the bar around the bottom of the back of the seat was uncomfortable. Guess I will have to take a cushion. Something else to have to keep up with.....
