Hi all, just bought a compass 2020 and have a few questions.

When the rudder gets pushed up by a rock, it stays up.. it’s almost like the spring is not working. Has anybody experienced this?

Also does anybody add cushion to lessen stressed caused to the boat hull by the seat?

Also one of my handles (black insert) is cracked . . Has this happened to anyone?

Thanks all!

It's highly likely that the rudder up down line is wedged up against the side of the hull by the internal foam blocks. Open up the centre hatch and inspect the lines internally running down the right side of the hull.
