I'm seriously planning on buying a Compass. I already have a couple Revos. Are there any changes in next years model? I demo'ed one and liked it but am not a fan of the high seat. The seat does sit close to three inches lower if you move it backwards off the mounting posts. However this does overlap the base of the seat retention strap/hook. Moving it back 1/2 to one inch would solve that. Also the terrible / what were they thinking placement of the paddle retention post so close to the seat straps It took me 4-5 tries to get the bungy off the post. Standard side handles are badly needed as it's a pain to load without them. Lastly new colors ??? Hoping for a color that doesn't blend with the ocean so that power boaters can see me.

High seat? I have only seen a couple of folks complain about the seat height since the Compass came out. Don't ever sit in a Pro Angler...lol! A lot higher off the water. Personally, the lower the seat goes, the higher your legs are in relation to the Mirage Drive. The paddle holder is the hiccup that everyone can universally agree on. Hoping Hobie comes up with a simple solution for the 2019 model.

As far as color...if you are worried about being seen by boaters, get the Sea Grass color. I have the Sea Grass and love it!

Here are a few things I'd like to see:

1: More colour choices - Ivory Dune is a must and possibly yellow?
2: Carry-handles - PLEASE!
3: The option for the big square hatch amidships (at least provide the moulded recess to allow retrofit?)
4: Space for a hatch on the rear-deck (again, at least mould-in a recess to allow for retrofitting)
5: Optional water-tight cover for the front well.

Mike.

Lilriverman, what size revo's do you own? I'm asking because I'm considering purchasing either a used revo 13 or
new compass. I'd be interested in your thoughts on both comparing comfort, speed, stability and ease of handleing. I plan on using it for cruising as i not fish. Thanks. Adam
