Can the current 180 be upgraded to the ARC?

Yes, but the upgrade may not be available yet (the factory gets first dibs on all parts). You would need the new ARC crank arms and drums. Hobie will probably offer a kit. Keep checking the online parts catalog or your local dealer. 8)
