I have done two hatch installs and have had no problems with the upgrade. Make sure that the foam under the hatch is cleared so the bucket fits correctly.

I just did a square hatch on my 2019 compass duo and the lid will not close with the white bucket. There appears to be a bubble in my hull in this location(rear seating area). Got a shorter cheap plastic container from Walmart in there now to at least use the area. The temp bucket is smaller unfortunately in both width and length so does not give a tight seal fit against the lid. The foam was moved completely out of the way, in fact I had to trim the foam slightly as moving the foam blocks impeded full release of rudder line.

Just installed the rectangular hatch and bucket in my 2015 outback. It works perfectly. One note on installation. Make sure you cut the hole taking all of the marking line. If you don't, the gasket inside the locking lid will push up when the screws are tightened. If this sounds like I know from experience, your right. But other than that, very easy install and couldn't be happier. I'd call it a great upgrade.
