Howdy,

I made a fix for the Hobie Compass seat padeye. I took the factory plastic padeye and cut the plastic loop off. I mounted a stainless steel eye bolt and epoxied it in place. It is rock solid and very strong. If you'd like me to make you a set please email me and I can give you more info along with photos. Thanks.

We did the same thing at SLH. Simple to do, and works a treat. We didn't modify the existing padeye though,we replaced it with a screw-in shock cord end, which uses the same thread

Yakass, do you ship to US? I tried to order from your site, but couldn't check out. Anyone know who else sells metal seat pad eyes? The plastic ones are no good. I've broken two in six months.

Where did you get the "shock cord end"? Direct from Hobie?
