Greetings,
Does anyone here know if Hobie is producing any kayaks due to California being in lockdown? I'd like to buy a couple Compass models, but my local distributor in Tulsa doesn't have any in stock and is unable to tell me when stock will arrive.
Thanks

Yes, we closed for about two months, but have been up and running since early May. Sales have been record breaking ever since. We are behind in shipping at this point. Get and order in.

Just checked the REI website and they've got a Compass in stock. Looks like only one color, not the camo model. Another local retailer to me, Fishing Tackle Unlimited, also shows they have a Compass in stock.

We ordered a duo in July and were promised delivery by August, then September, then we found out the truck left the factory with our kayak back ordered, so now the earliest we will get the duo is November. A little sad, but par for the course in 2020.

The pandemic and resulting lock-downs have resulted in people getting outdoors and actually participating in a sport rather than just sitting back and watching one. Every kayak dealer I know has told me that they stay sold out. As soon as they get a shipment, they're gone in just a few days.
