My bass fishing is full swing. I took extended vacation and I’ve been going out 3-4x a week. Covering miles. My longer trips are 8+ miles of getting to different fishing spots.

I did a few tough launches that require 0.25 mile hikes in pulling my kayak. Times like that the lighter weight was a blessing.

I can stand on the kayak now. I’m a bit wobbly, but gaining confidence. I can even paddle while standing.

I got caught in a surprise (to me) wind event and had to emergency beach, then haul my kayak up an undeveloped hillside. My kayak takes some really big waves. I was still scared senseless, but we lived.

It’s a great great kayak. Wednesday I’ll have to lift it over a fence to access the water 300 yards down a hill. Haha.

I still have Outback and ProAngler envy, but I really have little to complain about. I have lots of bass caught burned into my memory. And photos stored. The thing is easy to load into my truck.

Great kayak.
