Happened across a Facebook Hobie Compass User Group post about how Hobie Lynx seat risers might work on the 2022 Compass. They are sold by Navarre Kayak and Fishing. $70. Anyone tried them yet?
Thanks

I just emailed Navarre. I’ll let you know his response.

I contacted the owner at Navarre and here’s his response:
The seat is plenty strong enough but the inserts are mounted into the plastic. As you raise the seat the angle changes a bit and causes issues.

This video shows how weak the area is:

I would not put all my weight on just 2 small points. There is a reason the Lynx seat has that bar on the front as it spreads the load out. Some of the facebook people have already found that out.
