hi i agree there is a 16 for sale in australia that has hull numbers in the mid 300's and it is solid as a rock as well. maybe one of the old salts on here could tell us if there was more materials or different construction methods used on the very old 16's

Im in Australia and doing up a Hobie Hull Number 391, not a soft spot on her just doing an intensive bottom job. |

Not sure how old, but this workhorse/fishing H16 at Masirah Island, Oman looks vintage.
