Post subject:  Redoing Hulls, Fix'n' Her Up

Hey Guys, need some input. I have an 83 16' cat im doing the hull fix as we speak. I am working on the 2 hulls seperatly in my back yard. i got the deck of one hull completely done... with about 500 holes throughout. Im going to be painting it after I do this. But before I am going to be using some bondo type material to fill in the scratches and the bottoms of the hulls before i do. Before i paint it is there anything you guys reccomend? it was a dingy yellow, but im gonna make it tradtional white, with a polyurathane mixture and spray painter. What i need to know is... is there anyway to hide the holes on the side of the pontoons and the top of the pontoons from where i drilled holes for the resin and epoxy fixes before i paint so you won't see them afterwards?

Any help would be great..

Thanks

I'm pretty sure West System makes a fairing compound used to smooth the surface before paint is applied. My father and I used it on our 27' Soling when we stripped the keel down to the metal ballast. It really works well.
