Post subject:  Aft corner castings

On my 1973 H-16. There is a 7/32 diameter hole on the starboard and port aft rear castings. Both are on the out board side of the casting what are/were they used for?

Hole? They counter sunk too? Sounds like the tramp lacing start point.

Rear lacings start at the rear / outboard corner casting. Pass the 1/4 inch line through that hole and tie a stop knot (knot is inboard, the line exits the hole towards the outboard). The line then runs forward and around the casting to the first tramp grommet.

Thanks Matt You are right. I looked it up on the support page, Assyembly manual. This has to be it. The pic on adobe is hard to see. Any one gota pic so I can see how there strung. Mine is not threaded through the castings. It supports everyone fine. I'm sure thier rigged this way for a reason.

Thanks

Todd
