My left hull is now in two pieces. It broke right in front of the forward pylon. Any chance of repair or is it time for a "new" boat?

I would not attempt to repair the defective hull... that thing was most likely soft before the incident. Check the other hull for soft spots... it that hull is in good health get a new or used replacement hull. If the other hull shows major soft spots it might be more cost efficient to replace the boat - especially considdering the low prices for used hobie 16's.

What condition is the other hull in? Does it have any softspots?

If so, after the cost of two new hulls, you might want to just look for a good used boat.

Cut your other hull in about the same spot, put them both as if they were going into or coming out of your house/business. Then buy another boat. Just my two cents.
