Had the boat out the day after Christmas.Great sail, however I could hear a creaking noise inside the starboard ama. On inspection, back home I found the Fiberglass tabbing around the pylon inside the hull has pulled away (allowing the ama to rock). I have an inspection port about 10 inches in front of each pylon. My question is: If the front pylon has pulled lose how easy is it to fix(sugestions) & what are the odds of the rear pylon also being lose. The boat is a 1980 H16. I could possibly fine a new hull, however I have spent a lot of time and money keeping this boat is good shape, or so I thought, and would like to keep it together.
I am open to any and all sugestions.
Thanks
Mark

I may have fixed the problem. My local marine supply store was out of West epoxy, so I went back with fiberglass. I was able to get access to the pylon shoe via the inspection port. Used two layers of glass cloth to bond the shoe to the hull & tried to run resin between the shoe /hull contact. Let dry over night, will see if it works. Plan on taking the boat out New Years day.
