I measured my 1986 jib up to a new one and noticed a different cut .the new one is higher in the clew area. Can my sail be cut to match up ? Is it still class legal? Is there a sail template to match it to?with my old jib and raked back mast i am having trouble getting enough tension on the leech of the jib

Post subject:  Jib pattern

Hobie Cat USA went to a new international (IHCA) approved jib pattern about 1 1/2 years ago. Yep, higher clew is one of the differences. You can have yours re-cut or just raise the tack higher on the adjuster to get tighter sheeting with maximum mast rake. There are no templates.
