Don't build a trailer, it costs way too much.
So does customizing a trailer to handle a triple stack:

Curious why you would want to do this. Decent used trailers can be had for a couple hundred dollars - you'd easily spend that much in materials for a homebuilt trailer - and you might have trouble registering it depending where you live. |

The trailer is easy Plans for a wheel are hard to get hit the easy button get a good used trailer |

Wow, that triple stack looks awesome/ crazy! Anyone know if a trailer designed for H14T will fit H16? Mainly concerned about width at rollers? Thanks. |

That is my new-to-me boat sandwiched in the middle (with the "50"). I just added it to my fleet. It is a 2006 AHPC Capricorn F18. I hate to say it, but it blows the doors off of my H-16 although it is too much boat to sail single handed (at least for now). Thanks! |

I have a galvanized aluminum trailer with welded brackets for the single rollers (6" wide) so can't really move them. My H14's keels sit on the inside of the rollers, thinking that with H16 beam width being 7" wider the rollers should work. Augaug, That load looks a bit top heavy, nice. |

A H16 sits between 7'2" and 7'3" on the rollers. I've removed the rollers on my trailer and replaced them with carpeted 2"x4"s that act as sliders. Now, there is a wider, more solid base and different size boats can fit on any level on my triple stack. The photo shows 3 H16s, but we've had a H18 on all three levels, and the sliders are big enough to fit a H14, too.  Photo on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/60234322@N05/5499256273/ |

hobiedivision2, Thanks for the measurements and detail/ picture of your setup. May look into something like that if decide to keep the futrue 16 and current 14. |
