+1.

In all honesty, if I encountered a second hand boat in that condition, I would have run a mile. Not 'cos it wouldn't be worth it; your resto shows that it is WELL worth the effort, but I don't think I've been gifted with the foresight that some others have, to see the potential that a good restoration can bring.

I feel like such an impatient b@$t@rd looking at some of the work you guys have put in to bring your boats to such incredible pieces.

Can't believe you did that in a month! :o

A month almost to the day. I was in the back yard working on it so often, my wife began refering to that boat as "the other woman". I've since put a new tramp on it.

All original vintage 1972. Color combo screams its age. Not the prettiest out there but solid as a rock!

Bought this boat from a friend last week. 2008 H16 Race used in the 2007 ISAF Youth Worlds by the Danish team.

Fever Pitch! I used to sell Hobie's back in 1978-79 and honestly, I've never seen that color combo. That is so cool!

Sawyeraj, I am jealous. You have a boat with racing pedigree fully rigged with a spinnaker. Awesome.

I agree, I love the green hulls. It is very Retro.

Here is my Orange Crusher from '79.

My 81' with 78' sails and whole lot of work from last winter. She sails real nice now with Harken main blocks and all new rigging.

David,
That can't be the same boat, can it? Did you get new masts, or paint them?

Looks GREAT, whatever you did!

Steve, It's the same boat. Mast & boom were painted with Krylon primer. It wears VERY well !!!

It looks amazing, really nicely done. It makes it look 20 years newer, at least in the photo's.

I still have the Aluminum mast, and was planning to keep it 'old school' but now am having second thoughts.

Also, to Maximus, what did you use to clean up the hulls? That is also an amazing transformation.
