Post subject:  Screws and Bolts

I'm trying to replace a number of parts on my 16 and no matter how I try, some of the screws and bolts just won't budge. Does anyone have a good method to loosen these without the use of a drill? I've heard mention of the use of heat, however unless I know what I'm supposed to heat up, I can forsee a burnt trampoline and a very large bill!!

:?

At the moment I have two things that are causing problems, the sister screw in one of the rudder casings and the two screws and one bolt securing the jib cleat to one of those round mountings on the front bar.

The sister screw will probably need drilling, which looks easy to do, the other screws and bolts however look extremely difficult to drill and that's really where I'm having problems. I also understand that the screws in those housings are fairly long.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can't think of another way. Maybe a vise grip clamped to the screwdriver shaft for better torque. Lightly tap the screw driver handle with a mallet while applying twisting force. That works like an impact wrench.
