I recently decided to replace my 79 Hobie 16 shrouds, forestay and bridle. I was told that current lengths were 18' 10 1/4, 18'9 1/2 and 3'9 1/2. When stepping the mast I noticed that the mast was severely raked back. I leave the mast up year round on the beach and don't see how this would survive the weather. It would appear that I have to change the length of the forestay to the old 17' 6 despite the generation blend of the lengths. My bridle and shrouds would be slightly different than recommended. I don't race or sail that aggressively anymore and wonder if this would work adequately for my use. Any recommendtions?
Thanks
Rick
