I might be asking alot, but I am going to see this H16 tonight and do not know what year it is, but here is a picture of the sail. can anyone give me an idea of roughly the age by the color scheme?

positives and negatives about this vintage? also can i mount a bouy on the top of the mast?

Hopefully the rest of the boat looks better than that sail. It's is pretty worn out. I'm all for fixing up an old boat but sails are a big expense so negotiate accordingly.

Don't spend the money on a mast bob. Just seal your mast up and make sure it floats.

The main is white and in very good shape. Despite the look the jib is not too bad

If that is the case you will want to verify the year by looking at the back haul. Copy down the serial number and you will be able to find out what year the boat is. You can't always rely on sail color because sails can easily be changed.
