Hello there people, Im building my own catarmaran from scratch. Its the Quattro 16 design...Im looking (desperately) to buy a second hand set of sails off of a Hobie Cat to use on my boat.....Anyone have any for sale or know a good place to look? Hi Sean! Sounds thrilling to build your own! I've got a 16 and when I got my used sails I looked at sites in UK, Germany and Denmark. Got a nice set from Germany. Pia got some very nice sails at http://www.hobieshop.se/ only used at the european championships, if she's got any left. I got an old main without battens somewhere but I doubt you'd like it. I'm about to order a new set of sails and a spinnaker, I have... thinking... 4 sets of sails on hand. (older) 2 sets in good shape, 2 sets more heavily used. Price would be dependant on set - what's your budget? I could then match you up with best option. I have all white all white with reddish/brown horz stipe blue and pink alternating stripes all yellow with rainbow center area. Each has main and jib. Best sets would be blue/pink and the yellow w/rainbow next best set is white with brown/goldish stripe, then all white is most used. Easier to ship without battens.
