Just putting the finishing touches on the resto of my '79 H16. Still a bit perplexed about the jib halyard rigging. Due to it's age, thinking it is a 3:1. The wire halyard loops through a block, but there is another block that is part of the rig. Not sure if yet another block is attached to the jib or needs to be attached. Any guidance is throroughly appreciated.

Figure 50 in the Manual shows what you'll ultimately end up with.

There should be a cheek block on the port side at the bottom of the mast that will operate with the block at the end of the wire jib halyard. Often the plastic sheave of the cheek block breaks and disappears and what you are left with is stainless plates with two studs. If the plastic sheave is missing, you could replace the whole assembly, attach another block to the stainless cheeks, or simply run the halyard around the one stud causing the halyard to turn sharply with lots of friction. Hopefully the sheave is still intact on your mast.
