How did the beach wheels do that? Just the type or is there a way to prevent that? |

I could see that causing an issue maybe. my boat lives on the beach wheels i dont own a trailer i dont think that will damage it. but if you find wheels that look like this  dont use them!!! it will twist and and and push your hulls with alot of force, and i got a soft spot from it that i never fixed and it spread. |

It's solid but it'll take some parts to get it into racing condition and it'll still be heavy so I'm trying to think of places where I could get a newer Hobie that'll be race ready almost at least. And the reason for the blue coat was because the previous owner had just spray painted it black so he hired some one to sand it down and put on a new gel coat. Again if anyone knows of boats being sold that are newer and race ready I'm all ears, I just found one on here before but to my dismay it was already sold even though it was posted days ago. |

Key facts are wrong in the ad. It's not "mid-'80s" - it's a 1980 boat. Maybe an '81. They're not "Tequila Sunrise" sails - the pattern is "Carumba". Old, heavy boat with non-adjustable rudder castings and not set up to carry the mast rake you'll want (need) to race, - and with 30-year old sails that are not competitive. It's been cosmetically repaired with epoxy, not polyester - not a good practice. This boat is worth $1500 - if it's in great shape. |

All these older boats major expense seems to be the sails themselves. I found another boat from 2003 that I'm currently looking at to see if it's for sale. |

Huh? I'm gonna take my time to pick one out if that's what you're saying... The 2008 was sold yesterday so now no chance of getting that even though now my budget has grown to fit it probably. Just for the heck of it how much is it for a new race ready Hobie on average with a trailer, cat trax, and harnesses? And if anyone knows of newer race ready ones for sale by them still let me know I'm all ears. |
