When I slide the traveller car the boom block collides with the tiller and I haveto flip it aft and around th boom block. Can this be orrect or am I doing something wrong.

This is correct. You have to flip the tiller around the BACK of the boat when you jibe/tack.

I bought a used 96 H16 and after I read Hobie U on line( My only instruction so far ) I gave it a tryand although
I have only sailed once and we had very little wind, I am hooked.
The manual H 16 says to thread the end of the main sheet back thru the travel car but there is no hole to thread it thru. could There be something missing. I cant figure it out. Is this used to slide the travel car out.
I truly appreciate this help

Yes, thats right. The green in the main sheet going through the blocks and such, and the red is the tail end of it. You feed it back through the cleat, then between the two rollers on the traveler car, and then through the metal u shaped piece on the back of the frame, then you tie a stopper knot (figure 8 )
