One member of Fleet 297 regularly pulls his H16 with a Prius.

An hour and a half trip to the lake..

For the big road trips he prefers the his Highlander.. But still...

We pulled in an out of gas boat on Lake Michigan. We had a lot more fun than he did. His wife never said a word.

Towing a Hobie 16 is about the same as having a couple 250lb buddies in the back seat. Up to 50 mph you won't even know its there, as you drive faster your MPG will drop a lot. An aluminum trailer and taller tires will help a bunch. I wouldn't worry at all, keep the oil and coolant in check.
