Post subject:  What tools needed to disassemble a Hobie Cat 16

I am new to hobie cats as well as sailing. There are two hobie cats near me that a free but have no trailers. I am going to pick them up with my truck.

I was wondering what tools I will need to disassemble them so they fit in the truck bed and on the ladder rack.

I figure the four hauls and one mast on the rack. And all the other parts in the bed.

Thanks for the help

Four bolts hold the trampoline frame to the hulls. You will need a big sand filled "Dead Blow" mallet or steel mallet and a 2x4. Remove the trampolines to make frame dis-assembly easier. Significant blows from the underside of the corner castings are required to drive the castings off the pylons.

I'd move assembled if possible. Renting or borrowing a trailer and adding 4x4 crossbars works. Way easier than dis-assembly.

Two adjustable wrenches and a dead blow hammer should get the job done?

Not an option to use a trailer I,ll have to take them apart to get them home.

Thanks for the manual pdf going to download and read through it now.
