I just bought a roller furler for my hobie 16. I was wondering if anyone could help me with installation of the furler and where the lines should be run. If any one had some pics of their furler installed on their hobie that would be great. Also after reading numerous post about furlers, does any one know exactly what has to be modified on my battened jib... specific dimensions?

I would recommend buying the kit from Hobie if you want to go that route. You really should get a jib that was specifically cut for the furler because it is a different shape and does not have battens. You basically need to cut the curve out of the back side of the jib to get it to not flap around.

The bridles are different as they have roller swaged fittings (forks) at the furer. The forestay is different and there is also an upper furler/forestay so the whole rig can furl.
