Just bought my first H16 ( a bit of a beater) with the intention of fixing her up and sailing. When I detatched the hulls from the tramp frame, there is a very large clunking and banging inside both hulls when they are rolled. Does anyone know what this is? I've seen a hull cross section before and this doesn't seem normal!

It is completely normal.

What you are hearing are the internal styrofoam flotation blocks bumping around.
