Post subject:  traveller cleat

I recieved for Christmas a new harken cleat to replace the old metal cleat for the main traveller.When I took the old metal cleats off there is posts that the old bolts went through.These posts are not necessary for the new cleats.has any one else made this conversion.need some advice

You can't just replace the cleat jaws from the stock traveller with the Harken cleat - you have to replace the entire swivel assembly since they use fundamentally different mounts.

Actually I found a way you can replace the stock cleats with the harken cleats,without replaing the whole swivel.It took a little improvising but it turned out great.Anyone else thinking of doing this just e-mail myself and I will outline how to do it
