 Post subject: H16 Pitchpole preventers

I see some H16 on CL with Pitchpole preventers. Ther loolike butterfly wings on the hull tips. Do they work or slow u down?

They work to a point... then could slow you down rapidly!

Just helps prevent the bow from dipping under and does help prevent a pitch pole.

A pitchpole would slow you down even more I suppose. :D

I bought a Hobie that came with them, they mainly just sprayed me with water when I was sailing it hard, I took them off after a couple trips.

I had 1981 I bought with them installed. I was just learning at the time and pitch poled with them installed. I hit a wave a next thing I know I was air born. I took mine off also
