Hey all! Headed to the Gorge, Oregon or Washington side this afternoon and wondering if you have any advise as to where to put in for a novice. Any help greatly appreciated! Best-John

This looks good. I may sail here next summer. The following is from the web site listed below.

The Hook
Located down a gravel road just west of the Hood River Watefront Park and Event Site, the Hook creates an area that is protected from the extreme winds and is perfect for the beginning windsurfer. Many local windsurfing shops set up here in the summer to teach.

Had a great 2 days out with my friend Dave and our families. Wind was mild/strong for the Gorge. This was the first run I've ever had in real wind and was running the jib and main lines. Sorry for the swearing. The more we sailed the calmer my voice I think lol. What a great time! Looking forward to meeting up with others at some point soon for experienced instruction! I'm bruised and scraped in several spots...LOVE it!
PS I know the hull isn't not a pontoon,or foil, and was asking "what happened" to see if he knew I wasn't watching the left hull sinking lol!
