When it comes to really deep cleaning the paint on a car, a clay bar will really pull impurities out of the paint and will leave the finish super clean and smooth. I was wondering if a clay bar could be used on gel coat. If so, I would imagine super shiny and smooth hulls ready for polishing and buffing.
Has anyone ever used a clay bar on the smooth wetted surfaces of their hulls?

I guess no one has ever tried a clay bar on their hulls. I know, I'm OCD when it comes to keeping my boat looking good.
I'd like to add that a magic eraser works great for getting scuff/black marks from trailer rollers off of the hulls as well as getting stains off the trampoline. Clean hulls are fast hulls!
