So I'm thinking of putting some boat tattoos on my boat. One guy said the Hobie's coronado sails look like Superman, so I'd like to go with a superman theme.

I'm thinking of putting a superman insignia on the mainsail somewhere between the sail numbers and the hobie class symbol. Does this break any sailing rules since people could confuse it with another class symbol?

I really doubt anybody would care about a rule like this, but figured I'd ask.

All depends on, who you race with. Hobie sanctioned event: probably not... Local group: doubt anyone would care.

Refer to class general rule 12.5. I believe as long as you keep the Hobie “H” at the top of the sail, you’re all good and can put whatever else on the sail that you want.

Not meaning to highjack but have to say @dave202, I've really enjoyed your videos, they are a nice blend of sailing and nature.

In that case, I'm going to put superman all over my boat... photos to come on the lets see it thread.

Annndd, to Dave... watch out for my boat in QLD/NSW in a few years, I'm sure to ditch NZ for a career move within 4 years. Time to get racing better hobie sailors!

WOW! :o Dave 202, I love the pitchpole shot in your signiature. I assume it is a grab from a GoPro mounted on your head...while being rocketed off the bow...facing backwards...all the time thinking "hmmm, this might make for a nice picture".

Isaac. His stitches are out now and he's keen for another run on Sunday. 15-20 bring it on!

This has gone way off topic, but Oh well.

How on earth did the skipper end up completely upside down like that? Just leaning too far back/out?
