I've upgraded to an Aussie Jib system on my H16 and I'm wondering if the Alpha Ropes SSR 4mm Line will be strong enough and low stretch enough to act as the jib halyard for this system. I already have 70 feet of the stuff so I'd rather not spend the $$ to buy single braid Dyneema if I don't have too. This line is a Dyneema and Cordura blend that is used mainly for sheets, but with the Dyneema I am hoping it will work. It's basically the same as Maffioli Swiftcord from what I here. Any thoughts or experience? I plan to race this boat. Thanks!

I used to run something similar on my boat - but it stretches more than you want. No problems with breakage, but you need to keep an eye on it.
