I have just replaced the standard jib halyard on my Hobie 16 due to wear in the wire after so many years, but when I was taking the clevis pins out of the jib halyard block, I realized that the sheave inside was stuck. I have not experienced a problem raising the jib, but it worries me that the locked up sheave could be causing the wear. Does anyone have recommendations to replace the sheave or sand it down so that it can spin freely?

The hole in the sheave (that the clevis pin goes thru) has probably worn a lot and is probably no longer round (causing the sheave to bind).

Over the years, I have replaced this sheave twice. Hobie Part#: 61260000
