I just purchased a 1987? Hobie 16 that has "hobie 16 nationals" on the side. According to the gentleman this was a boat prepared for the Nationals and he purchased it at the end of the competition. The hull number is CCMB4366H788.. Do you know how I might be able to find out more information on this? Is there a way to find out how many there were? Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. 530-228-6638. He said the race was Coyote point San Francisco.

Thank you very much! I was curious, the Sails number was 91041. Is there anyway to find out who raced the boat and how they did?

Thanks again

Barry

These events are special in that we supplied the boats. Skippers are assigned a different boat for each race, so it was sailed by a lot of different teams. I doubt any of those records still exist... as to which boats were sailed by who. Only results for races possibly... unrelated to the sail numbers used.

Those were some really cool looking sails. I wish all of the old sail colors schemes were still available.
