My H16 is a Frankenstein boat and other than one hull's transom having an 82F etched on it and the sails are from 1987, I have no idea how old the other hull, mast, boom, lexan rudders or frame are. The rest of the boat I have replaced/upgraded over the 11 years that I have owned it.
Last weekend, I capsized and when I was up righting the boat I could hear crunching under my feet on the inward side of the port hull.
The top and outside of this hull are still solid.
Other than trying to find a solid replacement hull, I am not sure whether it is worth it to inject it with Git-rot.
Some have have told me to just go out and continue sailing it until it fails.
My question is:
Other than the bow possibly breaking off, what can I expect to see happen before this hull starts to fail?
