On my 16' Hobie CAT I just bought the title has the number that is on the hull under serial number and when I tried to get the title transferred she said I needed the hull number I thought that was the hull number, anyone know if this is correct?

The serial number would be something like CCMB1234D283

What number is on the title?

The number on the title is CCMP9813M81H that's under serial number but there is no hull number on the title and they said we have to have one so would they use this number for that?

CCMP9813M81H is your serial number / HIN.

What do you mean "Under the serial number" Is that one 4 digits? Would be a mold number.

In SC, they want either a picture of the hull number or a piece of paper held on hull number and a pencil shaded over it to give the image of the hull number. I thought, there's no way they will believe that is the engraved hull number. The serial number and hull number are the same.

In NH the serial # is just that. The number is on the rear hull from the factory. The hull # is assigned by the state for sailing inland or coastal waters and requires 3" high lettering applied to the front outside of hull, usually something like NH-1234 and a state registration decal for the current year.
