Hi all, I've found the non comp tip mast to be superior in every way to the comp tip so much that I have purchased old masts just to keep the boat going strong. I have one issue that I'm afraid I may already know the answer too, but thought I would throw it out anyway. In the parts catalogue, I can't find the 16 non-comp tip, but I can find halyards etc. I have found many used on eBay, but I'm hoping for a new old stock non comp masthead tip. If anyone has a bead on one. I'd appreciate it!

As far as I can tell the only thing that goes bad is the plastic pulley. I'm going to make a new one on the lathe at some point.

I’m pretty sure that the comptip mast head can also be installed on the all-aluminum mast by drilling some holes for the fasteners in the appropriate locations.

Plus the CompTip halyard. Yes that would work.

My old non comp sheave finally gave up the ghost. Made a new one with nylon, stainless sheet, and epoxy. So far so good but a lathe would have been handy!!
