Want to use color coded jib sheets tied together. Since a continuous jib sheet is 32 feet, how much longer would the separate sheets need to be so the knot doesn't get pulled into the jam cleats. Not using trapeze. Doing this for the people I take sailing who know nothing. As in" grab the red line and let it out and pull in the green line".

Thanks. Harry.

Should work at 32 feet. Tie a knot at the mid-point and give it a try.

Thanks . I have the previous 1 piece and will try that and let you know. My gut feeling is that the sheet exceeds 16 feet when the jib is set for downwind.
