Hi guys, I have been told from an Hobie 16 owner that there is a major weight difference between an Hobie 16 from pre-2016 and an Hobie 16 post-2016.
Is this true?

No major changes. Refinement for sure. Steve Fields, who was the managing director of our Australian facility, has been making changes to align the process in all build locations and now only France is building the 16, so they would all be the same. Weights should all be at or under 320 all up as they have been since 1984. One of the changes is a bead of resin poured on the glue seam to fully seal it. Makes the edge nice and smooth too.
